Yes, a 100-calorie pack may sound like a good food to eat when you are on a diet. But, the problem lies in the fact that those 100-calories of nutrient lacking, processed food will not satisfy your body because you are not getting the vitamins and minerals that you need. Even though you are putting food in your belly, it doesn't mean that you are getting proper nutrition.

Vitamins and minerals are necessary for overall health, and a lack of nutrition can be very detrimental in many ways. Also, a deficiency in vitamins and minerals can actually sabotage your diet goals, because your body will begin to crave foods in an attempt to get the nutrition that it needs.

When your body is lacking those nutrients, you will feel urges to eat more food. This is a hard position to be in, because you are trying to limit the food that you eat so that you can decrease calories!

The best solution to lose weight is to fill yourself with high-nutrient foods. Often, these foods are also lower in calories! Eat abundantly of fresh fruits and vegetables, beans and legumes, and supplement your eating plan with whole grains, nuts and seeds, and healthy fats.

Weight loss is actually fairly easy when you increase your fruit and vegetable intake, because those foods will fill your stomach but they are very low in calories.
